A. I attended the Community College of Aurora and received an Associate’s of Arts with a concentration in theatre. I received my Bachelor’s of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies at Naropa University with a concentration in Creative Writing, Visual Art, and Performance.
A. i do as much as i can! i work at a dispensary to pay the bills and spend the rest of my time taking pictures, writing, and having adventures.
my bathtub photography series was born out of a love of bodies, baths, and worship. our bodies are not taken care of in this society the way they deserve to be, and rest is incredibly undervalued. i offer my clients a designated time to rest and fully enjoy the somatic experience that is being human, and documentation of that experience, humanity at its rawest and most vulnerable, and in my opinion, its most beautiful. it is an absolute privilege to be able to sit and be still while someone is turning their tender belly up and exposing their deep hearts to my lens and the world.
i blended my talent for writing and my love of painting into a word-art series that i hang up, guerrilla-style, in public spaces, and gather emotional data from the audience as much as possible, in an effort to examine what our relationship is to art as observers, specifically art that ruptures the normalcy of public spaces and pulls us into a different reality. i transform thrifted clothing into living word-art as well, and love to get real-time reaction to my work when wearing it in public.
i am a poet, an activist, and a strong believer in the power of the written word. i believe it is my responsibility to share my work and my studies with the world as much as possible, and i use an intersectional lens to work towards a world in which accessibility of education and power for all people is the norm. through writing and technology, specifically social media, i am constantly striving to be a more conscious citizen, to uplift voices of those who are often silenced, to co-create a future that is healthy and whole for all beings, and to learn and grow daily.
visiting my shop makes a huge difference! if you don’t see something you are interested in, reach out to me with ideas! i also offer custom pieces in all aspects of my art, including poetry.
book me for a shoot! i have a wide variety of photography skills and love to work with artists on product shots or process shots, simple portraits, weird “concept” shoots, couple/families, festivals and parties, pets, boudoir, and of course bathtub photography. pitch an idea to me and we can probably make it work!
you can also feel free to donate to me, though that is never required. i believe art and poetry should be accessible for all and that price should not be a barrier. that being said, if you are in a position of having extra cash, and if you learn from me and my work and/or emotional labor, especially if you are an ally to the queer experience, feel free to toss some coin my way!
aside from all that, this leo also takes compliments! if you like something i’m putting out, drop me a line! i’d love to hear from you—even if you don’t like what i’m putting out, i’d love to hear your opinion too.
A. yep.
